JEREMY HOLLOWAY

Jeremy Holloway has been involved in theatre for nearly 50 years, having started out as a technician at Poole Arts Centre (now known as ‘The Lighthouse’) working with the likes of David Jason, Michael Jackson and Tine Turner.
He then trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School before touring for ten straight years as a stage / production manager. Jeremy has set up and run two theatre companies; the second (Ratchet Theatre) has played at the Ice Factory Studio Theatre three times; Dark Vanilla Jungle; FREAK and Objective Bodies – The Sanctuary
Jeremy also directed ‘84 Charing Cross Road’ for Teignmouth Players two years ago and comes to Teignmouth Players direct from Dartington Village hall where he was Chair for the last five years, during which time he managed to extort £14,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund to celebrate the Hall’s one hundred year anniversary.

GORDON MELLOR

Gordon was a music teacher, beginning in the late 70s and finishing with some 20 years as Head of Music at Westlands School Torquay. During that period he also served as Musical Director of Paignton Pantomime for some seven years as well as other local shows. He has been a member of Teignmouth Players for some ten years, acting in some ten plays and having co-written, along with Steve Wreford, the show about Frank Sinatra’s life which was put on at the Ice Factory Studio Theatre as the first show after Covid lock- down in 2022. He has recently written another play Agatha’s Friend, including some original songs, which you may perhaps see at some point in the future at the IF. He feels it’s a privilege to be part of such an exciting Theatre group.

ROGER SMITH

Roger needs no introduction to most members, having previously been Chair of the Society for nearly ten years. Although no longer living in the area, Teignmouth, and especially Teignmouth Players run very deep through his veins. He has also been a trustee of Pavilions Teignmouth.+Roger skillfully steered the Society through the seismic changes needed when we left the Carlton Theatre, and had to re-invent ourselves in our new home, The Ice Factory Studio Theatre.

ROGER TARRANT

Roger Tarrant has been a member of the Teignmouth Players for many years; he has a background in residential social work and has a BA in Performance Writing and Theatre gained at Dartington College of Arts.
Now retired, he has recently joined the board of trustees and hopes to get the Ice Factory Studio Theatre used more often during the day with workshops, a film club and possibly a jazz club.
